Recent Conference Invitations

  1. By verifying accreditation, United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS), invited to attend the LDC IV Global Civil Society Forum as a representative from my organization (GSA) which was held from 7 - 13 May 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey. In addition, this accreditation enabled me to attend the Fourth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries to be held from 9 – 13 May 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey.
  2. Social Development Division, Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), United Nations invited me to attend Asia-Pacific High-level Intergovernmental Meeting on Assessment of Progress Against Commitments in the Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which is scheduled to be held from 1 to 3 November 2011 in the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok (Thailand).
  3. United Nations General Assembly 2011 High Level Meeting on AIDS related preparatory Civil Society Hearing, to review progress towards the implementation of the 2001 Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS and the 2006 Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS.
  4. United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 2011 High Level Meeting (HLM) on AIDS (8-10 June 2011) in New York, as Civil Society Organization, to review progress towards the implementation of the 2001 Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS and the 2006 Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS
  5. Invited to attend UNAIDS Program Coordinating Board (28th) Meeting 21-23 June 2011 at Geneva, Switzerland.
  6. The Secretary and CEO of GSA, Dr Anil Pratap Singh, attended the 14th International AIDS Conference, 2002, held in Barcelona Spain, with the sponsorship of Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, US Consulate General. On the sidelines of the conference he discussed the problem of HIV/AIDS with India's then Union Health Minister, Mr Shatrughan Sinha. During the event, he also attended various skill building workshops.
  7. Dr Singh was invited by UNAIDS to attend 7th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) at Kobe, Japan. He attended the Congress as an official Indian delegation, led by the Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
